April Horror Book Club: Some Things Are Better Left Unfinished

no doorsAspiring novelist,  Scott Mast reluctantly returns home  for his fathers funeral. While there he finds that his brother is an alcoholic and his family a mess. Wanting to help his 5 year old nephew, Henry, Scott decides to stay, no matter how much he wants to leave. One day, he discovers a partial manuscript of a horror novel his father was writing hidden in the tool shed.  His high school sweetheart suggests he stick around and finish it. Why not, what harm could it do? Maybe it will make him famous? But why was it hidden? And what if the novel is entirely fictional?
